05:37 <Lucifer> oh no, I just realized my last attempt to write acme isn't on my hard drive, and I don't know that I ever committed the pyqt4-based version
05:37 <Pathetique> LOL
05:38 <Lucifer> (not that it matters, whenever I start on it again, it'll be in c++)
05:38 <Pathetique> That blows.
05:38 * Lucifer is trying to decide if he's going to pack his room some more (moving tomorrow) or program a bit and then pack his room
05:39 <Lucifer> it breaks my heart that people still don't have a reasonably good map editor for arma
05:55 <Pathetique> Indeed.
05:55 <Pathetique> What also breaks my heart is the fact that PHP can be so gay.
05:55 <Pathetique> That, and that there's a bug concerning Global ID and the rounds won and matches won lists
05:56 <Pathetique> Where one person or identity will have multiple entries.

06:50 <luke-jr> O.o
06:50 <Pathetique> yarly.
06:51 <luke-jr> Pathetique: did you actually report the bug?
06:51 <Pathetique> no
06:51 <Pathetique> too tired to
06:51 <Pathetique> :S
06:51 <Pathetique> It took me
06:51 <luke-jr> -.-
06:51 <Pathetique> approximately
06:51 <Pathetique> 3 hours
06:51 <Pathetique> to get that statistic page you're viewing up
06:51 <Pathetique> WITH help from Durka.
06:51 <luke-jr> …
06:51 <luke-jr> 3 hours wasted if you don't report the bug ;)
06:51 <Pathetique> meh
06:52 <Pathetique> At least now I have a stat page for the server :D
06:52 <luke-jr> I spent 2 days trying to figure out a bug
06:52 <Pathetique> I have no idea why this one occurs though
06:52 <Pathetique> just kno tht it does
06:52 <Pathetique> lol
06:52 <luke-jr> finally wrote a 3 setence bug report when I found it :x
06:52 <Pathetique> lol
06:52 <luke-jr> Pathetique: if it's not reported, it won't be fixed
06:52 <Pathetique> finefinefine
06:54 <luke-jr> k, nigt
06:56 <Pathetique> luke-jr: reported.
06:59 <Pathetique> Another one that I'm not goingt o report right now cause I'm too tired
06:59 <Pathetique> Master Servers like to not know how to count.
06:59 <Pathetique> IE, will go from 10, to 20, to 40.
07:02 <luke-jr> I think that's just a bug in your brain
07:02 <luke-jr> nobody said it was counting
07:05 <Pathetique> lol

07:05 <Pathetique> is debug build
07:05 <Pathetique> Each round it tries to kill user 0 for cheating.

21:25 <arrow> prob some might
21:25 <arrow> but harly i think
21:25 <arrow> hardly
21:25 <epsy> soooooo screw them?
21:25 <joda_bot> epsy: if you're talking about websites just do it your way :-)
21:26 <epsy> my way until now has always been plain .. fixed width
21:26 <epsy> which didn't work on small screens at all by the way
21:26 <joda_bot> epsy: yeah, switching to "em" and other relative size concepts requires some getting used to
21:27 <epsy> you don't have images as relative sizes
21:27 <arrow> btw i saw that one propoal for new arma web
21:27 <arrow> and wiki
21:27 <arrow> it looked rly nice :)
21:27 <epsy> browsers that resize images when resizing the rest as well don't need these anyway
21:28 <joda_bot> epsy: one rule I learned is, that IE and firefox handle font-sizing differently (in the way the font-size is applied to subcontainers like (display:block))
21:28 <epsy> so I'm planning on doing a non-fixed width one, but I have to decide on a minimal width where stuff don't get messed up
21:28 <joda_bot> epsy: try 40em or 80em :-) depends if you want some border
21:29 <epsy> I'm thinking about 1024 (minus browser UI) pixels wide
21:29 <arrow> its ok
21:29 <joda_bot> epsy: hm, I guess that won't work if you calculate it from some resolution you're still thinking or basing your calculations on pixels
21:29 <arrow> its most common i suppose now
21:30 <epsy> well, screens ship with a resolution done in pixels
21:30 <epsy> images as well
21:30 <epsy> and I can't resize images
21:30 <joda_bot> epsy: yeah, and browsers allow you abstract from that to some extend
21:30 <epsy> so that won't work
21:30 <joda_bot> epsy: you can resize images, but they might look garbled
21:30 <epsy> with CSS ?
21:31 <joda_bot> sure
21:31 <epsy> and I mean background images, of course
21:31 <joda_bot> you can just give an image a "3em" width
21:31 <joda_bot> O.o
21:31 <joda_bot> Which background image ? :D
21:31 <joda_bot> I guess you can specifiy the amount of repeats in "em"s too
21:32 <epsy> it can be a header or something
21:32 <joda_bot> I'm not sure if background images of div-layers and the main background are handled in the same way
21:32 <epsy> no, you can't specify a number of repeats
21:32 <epsy> it's either one time, either infinite
21:33 <joda_bot> ah ok ...
21:33 <epsy> well, at 1024px wide I will probably have to hide the "last posts" section

23:36 -!- Durka [n=Durka@cpe-76-173-122-30.socal.res.rr.com] has quit []
23:37 <nsh22> no, it has a little light on the end of it for recording in the dark
23:38 <nsh22> and stereo microphones
23:40 <epsy> so does my phone
23:40 <epsy> but the light it makes doesn't make it to the other side of the room
23:40 <epsy> and blooms anyone in view, though
23:40 <epsy> :x
23:42 <PinkTomato> nsh22: you imported it from Europe?
23:42 <nsh22> PinkTomato: no
23:42 <PinkTomato> Then why do you need a transformer?
23:42 <nsh22> cuz im going to france to stalk epsy soon :P
23:43 <joda_bot> epsy: he already got a cam ... hide
23:43 <PinkTomato> Some chargers accept 100-240V input
23:43 <epsy> it has 5 megapixels :P
23:43 <nsh22> yeah, but better safe than sorry :P
23:43 <epsy> yeah, better safe than sorry
23:43 <nsh22> epsy: what does?
23:44 <epsy> my phone's camera
23:44 <nsh22> ...
23:44 <PinkTomato> My phone camera has 1 Megapixel,
23:44 <epsy> don't worry, it zooms like shit
23:44 <PinkTomato> I bought it ysterday
23:44 <nsh22> howq does your phone have more egapixels than my camera?
23:44 <epsy> it doesn't do optical zoom anyway
23:44 <PinkTomato> nsh22: because yours does moving video
23:44 <epsy> I wonder, that's why I was so suspicious about your cam's res
23:44 <epsy> PinkTomato, mine does as well
23:44 <joda_bot> my phone can shoot fisheyed photos with 240x150 pixels
23:45 <epsy> I mean, well, it has stabilisation & co as well
23:45 <PinkTomato> epsy: at 5 Megapixles though O_o?
23:46 <PinkTomato> Oh wait, I see it would record at PAL/NTSC res
23:46 <PinkTomato> unless it can do HD?
23:47 <epsy> PinkTomato, gotta check
23:47 <nsh22> i THOUGHT mine was hd, ut it isnt, oh well
23:47 <epsy> PinkTomato, they say DVD quality
23:49 <nsh22> isit normal to have it make very small, techie noises (lie you would hear in like scifi movies?) when they zomm?
23:49 <epsy> unless when it's digital zoom..
23:49 <epsy> it's normal
23:49 <nsh22> ok
23:49 <nsh22> lol
23:49 <PinkTomato> epsy: ah I see
23:49 <PinkTomato> nsh22: 640*480 =
23:49 <nsh22> ???
23:49 <PinkTomato> 0.3 Megapixels
23:50 <epsy> gr, the gallery doesn't say what res it is
23:50 <PinkTomato> It says your camcorder records at 1,00,
23:50 <PinkTomato> at 1Mp*
23:50 <nsh22> it does
23:51 <PinkTomato> nsh22: 720*1280 =
23:51 <PinkTomato> 0.92 etc
23:51 <nsh22> 921600
23:51 <PinkTomato> so it is HD? 720p mode
23:51 <PinkTomato> at least
23:51 <nsh22> no i dont think so
23:52 <epsy> VIDEO: [mp4v] 640x480 24bpp 30000.000 fps 0.0 kbps ( 0.0 kbyte/s)
23:52 <epsy> don't know wtf is with fps
23:52 <nsh22> frames per second?
23:52 <epsy> yes
23:53 <epsy> mp4v doesn't handle variable fps does it?
23:53 <PinkTomato> nsh22: " The DIGIC DV II Image Processor designed specifically for HD, combined with a 1.07 Megapixel CCD image sensor provides users with Image Stabilization and sharper, clearer images and ensures optimal image quality."
23:53 <PinkTomato> Or it is upscaling
23:53 <nsh22> thats for mine?
23:53 <PinkTomato> Sounds like native 720p though
23:53 <PinkTomato> yes :)

• Design:
» Layout is loosely based on an old design by Durf.
» Icons on the tools page were originally by Royce, new icons added will try to follow some of the design language.
» Various other icon selections include icons from Crystal, crystalsvg, oxygen, and breeze icon themes.
» Other icons: fontawesome

is a site that has tools, maps, and other various items. It orignally only existed as a server control panel, but I slowly began adding stuff such as a homepage and tools.

This is an LLM-free zone. In general, I am unwilling to use (fight with) any form of "GenAI" to write code for me. So, for the forseeable future, everything on this site will continue to be written by a very silly goose (wait that's me honk honk) with some parts written by other humans as well (silly hu-mon) rather than any plausible-series-of-words token-eating machine. Even my libraries are out of date, and suddenly that's a good thing!
(Although the style has changed several times and content has been added and changed, the base of this site has barely been updated since 2015. But it Ain't Broke!)
This site is also occasionally tested with older browsers, but compatibility is not guarenteed. Although, if you have an old obscure browser and something isn't working that previously did, I guess you can tell me (nelg) about it...
