07:02 <armabot> pong
07:02 <spidey> dude
07:02 <Self_Destructo> say hi wrtlprnft
07:02 <Self_Destructo> oops, lol
07:02 <spidey> my isp is really, really fucked up
07:02 <Self_Destructo> use to the console
07:03 <wrtlprnft> spidey: armabot is slow, though
07:03 <spidey> no, that's not what i mean
07:03 <spidey> it's almost like i'm being ddos'd...
07:04 <spidey> but i'm not because my ping isn't that bad when something does get out
07:04 <Self_Destructo> wrtlprnft: http://wrtlprnft.ath.cx/serverlist/serverdetails.php?name=xzl
07:05 <Self_Destructo> how are you picking out just one server from the list?
07:06 <wrtlprnft> argh, not again. Durka just asked me the same question yesterday
07:06 -!- Durka__ [n=Justin@cpe-76-167-178-153.socal.res.rr.com] has joined #armagetron
07:06 <luke-jr_> lol
07:06 <Durka__> #slap wrtlprnft
07:06 <armabot> Durka__ slaps wrtlprnft for being a raving moron.
07:06 <wrtlprnft> /* no comment */
07:06 <Durka__> >:D
07:06 <Durka__> morning wrtl
07:07 <spidey> 65.6.218.226 <-- what results does anyone get from that?
07:07 <Self_Destructo> wrtlprnft: yeah, we are working on it now
07:07 <wrtlprnft> that script uses the database that's behind the serverlist.xml, so it can directly filter
07:07 <luke-jr_> btw, anyone else notice that 0.2.8 head doesn't connect to Wild West shooting CTF?
07:07 <Self_Destructo> i just wanted to know if you had any suggestions
07:07 <wrtlprnft> but you can just go through all servers and only print those that fulfil some condition
07:07 <wrtlprnft> luke-jr_: err, the trunk does
07:08 <luke-jr_> is Wild West trunk-only now?
07:08 <Self_Destructo> ok, so it's using $server['name'] and all the other variables?
07:08 <Self_Destructo> foreach ( $serverlist as $server ){
07:09 <wrtlprnft> yeah, exactly
07:09 <wrtlprnft> foreach ( $serverlist as $server ){
07:10 <wrtlprnft> if(! (some condition involving $server)) {
07:10 <Self_Destructo> has to be set on a condition, only to be parsed if there isn't a ?name=servername
07:10 <wrtlprnft> continue;
07:10 <wrtlprnft> }
07:10 <wrtlprnft> if(isset($_REQUEST['name']))
07:10 <wrtlprnft> tells you if there's a parameter named name to your script
07:10 <Self_Destructo> so, on that one particular script, using name=xzl it looks for a server that had 'xzl' in it?
07:11 <Self_Destructo> ok
07:11 <Durka__> wow this is actually making sense now :)
07:11 <wrtlprnft> yeah :-)
07:12 -!- MrBougo [n=MrBougo@78.237-242-81.adsl-dyn.isp.belgacom.be] has joined #armagetron
07:12 <Self_Destructo> ok, good :) I think we can handle it a ways from here
07:12 <Self_Destructo> thanks
07:12 <spidey> i r sad =/
07:12 <wrtlprnft> yw
07:13 <wrtlprnft> meh, I hope luke-jr_ doesn't read this and tell me I should use rpc or SOAP or SHAMPOO or MAKEUP…
07:13 <spidey> haha
07:13 <Durka__> LOL!
07:13 <luke-jr_> get a clue wrtlprnft
07:13 <luke-jr_> SOAP is crap
07:13 <wrtlprnft> ah, really?
07:13 <luke-jr_> well
07:13 <luke-jr_> dunno
07:13 <luke-jr_> but it makes kmail take GBs of RAM to compile
07:13 <luke-jr_> >:O
07:14 <spidey> luke-jr_, wrtlprnft know any free dns servers?
07:15 <spidey> like opendns..
07:15 <luke-jr_> …
07:15 <spidey> like 4.2.2.3
07:15 <spidey> (i can't use that to resolve either)
07:15 <wrtlprnft> 4.2.2.1
07:16 <spidey> i'm actually suprised i managed to connect to irc -.-
07:16 <spidey> wrtlprnft, same for that..
07:16 <spidey> Pinging 4.2.2.1 with 32 bytes of data:
07:16 <spidey> Request timed out.
07:16 <spidey> Request timed out.
07:16 <wrtlprnft> ol.
07:16 <luke-jr_> spidey: you want one that blocks Google specifically?
07:17 <spidey> luke-jr_, i can't even connect to google atm -.-
07:17 <spidey> luke-jr_, wrtlprnft 65.6.218.226 what's the reply from that?
07:18 <wrtlprnft> can't ping it
07:18 <luke-jr_> none
07:18 <wrtlprnft> what is that?
07:18 <spidey> see -.-
07:18 <spidey> i'm not even blocking icmp =/
07:18 <spidey> it's my ip...or so my modem says
07:18 <Self_Destructo> wrtlprnft: is $server['name'] with or without color codes?
07:20 <wrtlprnft> Self_Destructo: depends
07:20 <Self_Destructo> ...
07:20 <wrtlprnft> Self_Destructo: the function that returns the server array takes a parameter whether to filter colors or not
07:21 <Self_Destructo> ok
07:21 <wrtlprnft> ereg_replace('0x......', '', $server['name']) gets rid of them, though
07:21 <Self_Destructo> ok
07:23 <Self_Destructo> ?stripcolors
07:23 <Self_Destructo> ?
07:26 <wrtlprnft> yeah
07:26 <wrtlprnft> but you don't need to change the function itself
07:26 <Self_Destructo> function sabsi ($array, $index, $order='asc', $natsort=FALSE, $case_sensitive=FALSE) {
07:26 <wrtlprnft> sabsi?
07:26 <Self_Destructo> $serverlist = sabsi($serverlist, $sort, $ascdesc, true);
07:27 <Self_Destructo> it's the function written to sort the list
07:27 <wrtlprnft> ah, ok
07:28 <wrtlprnft> but i think you'll want to filter the colors just for the condition checking.
07:28 <Self_Destructo> couldn't I just edit the function to only return the data I wanted without a lot of major coding/
07:28 <Self_Destructo> yeah
07:28 <wrtlprnft> if you have my server filter them for you you can't export them to html
07:29 <wrtlprnft> that foreach loop you pasted earlier
07:29 <Self_Destructo> yeah
07:29 <Self_Destructo> but, there would only be one server in the array sabsi() creates right?
07:30 <Self_Destructo> therefore, the data i wanted
07:30 <Self_Destructo> ?
07:30 <wrtlprnft> just do something like if(!eregi('pattern', ereg_replace('0x......', '', $server['name']))) continue
07:31 <Self_Destructo> ok
07:33 <wrtlprnft> g2g
07:34 <Self_Destructo> ok, cya
07:35 <spidey> that's it

09:06 <wrtlprnft> really?
09:06 <luke-jr_> yes
09:06 <wrtlprnft> ok then
09:07 <luke-jr_> obviously ignoring lack of capitalization on the start and punctuation on the end
09:07 <luke-jr_> but nobody cares about that
09:07 <wrtlprnft> the first one still looks somewhat weird to me. whatever

09:07 <wrtlprnft> and nicks and references to them
09:08 <wrtlprnft> i don't think wild west is trunk-only, btw
09:08 <luke-jr_> well shooting CTF one was the other day

12:57 <+noob7> aloha, I am getting this weird "Server adress mismatch" error when trying to login via armathentication using an owner account with a remote authority (forums), here's the text: http://pastebin.ca/936382
12:57 <+noob7> any idea what might cause this?
13:10 <+P4> hmm maybe set SERVER_IP to your local IP
13:10 <+noob7> I've never used SERVER_IP before and the authentication worked before that... but ok I will try doing so
13:10 <+P4> what did you do so it stop working?
13:11 <+noob7> all servers emptied I think, but maybe someone else changed settings or something while I was sleeping :)
13:12 <+noob7> oh, and the servers are now sparked by a bash script again since they kept dying when they emptied when they ran straight from screen
13:15 <+noob7> set the server IP and now it works, I really wonder what was changed for this to happen, it worked perfectly yesterday :)
13:15 <+noob7> well thanks p4 :P

22:18 <+noob7> kyle there is http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php?title=Authentication_for_Players already
22:18 <ct|kyle> why can i never find stuff on wiki
22:18 <epsy> america ftl <3
22:18 <+noob7> well because the structure of the wiki sucks is my guess
22:19 <epsy> esp the default wiki theme which overuses semitransparent textures and fixed backgrounds, making it impossible to scroll on most browsers :|
22:20 <ct|kyle> the problem is i searched Authentication and it does not list relevant other pages it just takes me to the Authentication page
22:20 <+noob7> I searched for "armathentication" I think when epsy first mentioned it...
22:20 <epsy> ct|kyle, ah, that was aprt of the dev. section
22:20 <epsy> hehe
22:20 <epsy> ct|kyle, it was done at the time where everything were still drafts
22:21 <+noob7> maybe just redirect it to the new page?
22:21 <ct|kyle> ya it should search for all that contain authentication and give a page of them before just taking me to 1 page
22:22 <+noob7> thats a mediawiki settings I think
22:22 <+noob7> if theres an exact match for the search term it takes you to that page
22:22 <ct|kyle> i think so to because wikipedia does that
22:22 <ct|kyle> i mean wikiepedia usualy does not take me to a direct match
22:22 <epsy> ct|kyle, when you move a page it shows a list
22:23 <epsy> of pages which refer to the page you're moving
22:23 <+noob7> IF there is an exact match, wikipedia does the same thing
22:23 <epsy> most mediaWikis atm
22:25 <ct|kyle> well i guess i got to start spelling things off just slightly
22:27 <epsy> do some reformatting too, if you can :)

• Website was created by nelg
• Design:
» Layout is loosely based on an old design by Durf.
» Icons on the tools page were originally by Royce, new icons added will try to follow some of the design language.
» Various other icon selections include icons from Crystal, crystalsvg, oxygen, and breeze icon themes.
» Other icons: fontawesome

is a site that has tools, maps, and other various items. It orignally only existed as a server control panel, but I slowly began adding stuff such as a homepage and tools.

This is an LLM-free zone. In general, I am unwilling to use (fight with) any form of "GenAI" to write code for me. So, for the forseeable future, everything on this site will continue to be written by a very silly goose (wait that's me honk honk) with some parts written by other humans as well (silly hu-mon) rather than any plausible-series-of-words token-eating machine. Even my libraries are out of date, and suddenly that's a good thing!
(Although the style has changed several times and content has been added and changed, the base of this site has barely been updated since 2015. But it Ain't Broke!)
This site is also occasionally tested with older browsers, but compatibility is not guarenteed. Although, if you have an old obscure browser and something isn't working that previously did, I guess you can tell me (nelg) about it...
