02:36 <Angel-H> how come no one ever accuses a guy of being female ?
02:36 <guru3> because all lies have a base in reality
02:36 <guru3> that just never actually happens in realtiy
02:36 <flex> i get accused a lot, thank you very much.
02:37 <luke-jr> a guy can't be female
02:37 <luke-jr> not that a female could really be male…

06:40 <Vanhayes> heh, i like rainès its not distracting at all
06:41 <flex> haha yeah, i'm just trying that out now
06:43 <flex> I'm going to add speed to it though, kinda need that
06:43 <flex> or well fastest
06:43 <Vanhayes> hmm, you cant use cockpits with the new 0.2.8 can you?
06:43 <flex> i don't think so
06:44 <flex> i thought cockpits were only incorporated into the v3
06:45 <Vanhayes> probably, Im not too sure whats new with this version though
06:46 <flex> oh yeah, I remember, I did try cockpit on version 2.x but it never worked
06:48 <Vanhayes> heh, I forgot I made a map too
06:48 <flex> you did?

06:53 <Vanhayes> so, anything big change in the last few months with arma?

06:54 <Vanhayes> heh, nevermind then :)
06:54 <flex> I assume nothing
06:55 <Vanhayes> well the new 0.2.8 version has a couple new things ive seen so far
06:56 <flex> when was 2.8 released..
06:57 <Vanhayes> the new 0.2.8 was released a few weeks ago I think

07:15 <flex> Vanhayes, what I got now is basically rains cockpit with your speed & brake meter plus "fastest:"
07:15 <flex> moved the enemies&friends down to the bottom
07:19 <Vanhayes> i was thinking about trying to make all of the, then current cockpits into one cockpit that you used the cockpit buttons to switch between
07:19 <Vanhayes> but then I forgot about it, and moved
07:20 <flex> ah, that would be a nice idea
07:22 <flex> I assume you just gotta be in the menu section for it to reload to the different cockpits
07:23 <Vanhayes> well since you can make a certain cockpit button change settings from off to on, you could make one cockpit set to on by default then when it is off it changes to the nextcockpit
07:25 <Vanhayes> like with mine, there are impact meters off by default with no settings set to their on mode
07:26 <flex> but that's the hud you're talking about right? you probably know more, I might be wrong but cockpits are different to the settings with the hud in 2.x
07:27 <Vanhayes> well i think the settings are the same you just cant change them in 0.2.8, anyways i meant doing it for 0.3

21:40 <wrtlprnft> ah figured out how to compile without ruby support
21:40 <wrtlprnft> so i can actually see the warnings you're talking about
21:40 <wrtlprnft> ah, i see the problem, and why you think it's my fault
21:44 <wrtlprnft> the original problem is that I needed what used to be eFunction (or gFunction or something, don't remember exactly) in src/tools
21:45 <luke-jr> doesn't vValue cover that?
21:45 <wrtlprnft> but those header files have operators to write them into and read them from nMessages
21:46 <wrtlprnft> that's where i used a templated operator<< and a templated operator>>
21:46 <wrtlprnft> with a comment, though
21:47 <wrtlprnft> //These templates are probably only useable with nMessage as parameter.
21:47 <wrtlprnft> //The reason they're templates is that nMessage isn't available in src/tools
21:47 <wrtlprnft> //and that tFunction might be needed to be in src/tools in the future.
21:47 <wrtlprnft> //Imagine a constructor for vValue that converts from a tFunction as an
21:47 <wrtlprnft> //example (or the other way, as far as possible). --wrtlprnft
21:47 <wrtlprnft> ph must have used tFunction as a base for tPolynomial
21:48 <wrtlprnft> and for some reason figured that it's a good idea to make nMessage a template parameter to tPloynomial
21:48 <wrtlprnft> which is quite insane, obviously, as the only functions that actually use that parameter are operator<< and operator>>
21:49 <wrtlprnft> z-man: want me to try and convert the entire thing to a normal class?
21:50 <wrtlprnft> wow, in fact it looks as if ph just replaced tFunction by tPolynomial in the entire file

22:05 <z-man> Yes, it would be good to convert tPolynomial into a normal class, and make just the Read/WriteSync method templates.

• Website was created by nelg
• Design:
» Layout is loosely based on an old design by Durf.
» Icons on the tools page were originally by Royce, new icons added will try to follow some of the design language.
» Various other icon selections include icons from Crystal, crystalsvg, oxygen, and breeze icon themes.
» Other icons: fontawesome

is a site that has tools, maps, and other various items. It orignally only existed as a server control panel, but I slowly began adding stuff such as a homepage and tools.

This is an LLM-free zone. In general, I am unwilling to use (fight with) any form of "GenAI" to write code for me. So, for the forseeable future, everything on this site will continue to be written by a very silly goose (wait that's me honk honk) with some parts written by other humans as well (silly hu-mon) rather than any plausible-series-of-words token-eating machine. Even my libraries are out of date, and suddenly that's a good thing!
(Although the style has changed several times and content has been added and changed, the base of this site has barely been updated since 2015. But it Ain't Broke!)
This site is also occasionally tested with older browsers, but compatibility is not guarenteed. Although, if you have an old obscure browser and something isn't working that previously did, I guess you can tell me (nelg) about it...
