01:33 <nsh22> yes i know that :)
01:34 <luke-jr> name of my job?

01:35 <luke-jr> :þ
01:35 <madmax> s0beit: are you sure the server isn't running already? that "no screen found" is related to the "screen -S $1 -X quit" line, which shouldn't quit a server if it wasn't running already...
01:35 <nsh22> but do you work for a company?
01:36 <nsh22> if so, you must have a certain job title :)

01:40 <madmax> #m s0beit are you sure the server isn't running already? try a 'screen -r server8' to see if something shows up
01:40 <luke-jr> it's the priciple of it

01:40 <nsh22> how do youy do that smilie?
01:40 <nsh22> mac?
01:40 <luke-jr> if I help people in public, that helps the entire community
01:40 <nsh22> ah i see

01:40 <luke-jr> because I configured it to

01:40 <luke-jr> if I help people in private, it only helps them
01:40 <luke-jr> which only helps me if they're paying me in some way
01:41 <nsh22> then if its public others odnt boither you (as much) with the same problem
01:44 <luke-jr> that too
01:45 <nsh22> so what kind of code do you do (for money)?

19:13 <s0beit> hey ct|kyle good day
19:14 <ct|kyle> I have no clue /me goes to look
19:14 <s0beit> ct|kyle, I am using the 0.2.8.3beta1 for my hr servers
19:14 <s0beit> its doing nice
19:14 <s0beit> no more wall bugs xD
19:14 <ct|kyle> wall bugs?
19:14 <s0beit> Yeah, usually in high rubber servers, walls bug when users dig and corner
19:15 <s0beit> sometimes people can go through other people lines
19:15 <s0beit> it rips a bug in them and kills the user digging
19:15 <s0beit> in the wall*
19:15 <ct|kyle> sty+ct is basically that, just with the sty and CT components
19:15 <s0beit> well, the hr servers were very buggy
19:16 <s0beit> so i moved them to the 2.8.3beta1
19:16 <s0beit> working much better

19:17 <s0beit> ct|kyle, I did however forget to enable authentication when setting that version up

19:18 <ct|kyle> you can just reconfigure and recompile it
19:19 <ct|kyle> use same ./configure just with the --enable-armauthentication <<i think that is the flag
19:19 <s0beit> thats just basically going to cd /opt/armagetronad/armagetron_2.8.3beta1 and doing ./configure --enable-armathentication
19:19 <ct|kyle> and whatever else you had
19:19 <s0beit> ah ok
19:19 <s0beit> well, i configured it using this link: http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php?title=Running_Multiple_Servers_on_a_single_Linux_computer
19:19 <s0beit> and used this : ./configure --prefix=/opt/armagetronad/ --disable-glout --enable-automakedefaults --disable-sysinstall --disable-etc --disable-useradd --disable-initscripts
19:19 <luke-jr> did you post on forums yet?
19:20 <s0beit> nope, no need to
19:20 <s0beit> i have everything done, just doing a little adjusting ;)
19:21 <ct|kyle> just add in --enable-armathentication in there and run it it
19:22 <s0beit> after that, just make and then type make install?
19:22 <s0beit> and then it will be done?

22:48 <Lucifer> heh, no implying taken
22:49 <Lucifer> I just realized the computer case I'm switching to doesn't have usb plugs in the front :(
22:49 <fonkay> booo
22:50 <Lucifer> I'll have to rip them from another case
22:51 <fonkay> I would rather usb ports than a cd drive ( but i don't use my cd drive for anything)
22:51 <Lucifer> Well, there's nothing in the floppy space, so I could put them there
22:51 <Lucifer> I just need a way to mount them, whenever I get them pulled from a different case
22:51 <Lucifer> i use my dvd drive
22:52 <Lucifer> this thing needs to hurry, I want to be booted and running my webserver again before I leave the house today

23:15 <Lucifer> do these people have no idea how annoying that is?
23:15 <Lucifer> it's almost like something microsoft would do to you

• Website was created by nelg
• Design:
» Layout is loosely based on an old design by Durf.
» Icons on the tools page were originally by Royce, new icons added will try to follow some of the design language.
» Various other icon selections include icons from Crystal, crystalsvg, oxygen, and breeze icon themes.
» Other icons: fontawesome

is a site that has tools, maps, and other various items. It orignally only existed as a server control panel, but I slowly began adding stuff such as a homepage and tools.

This is an LLM-free zone. In general, I am unwilling to use (fight with) any form of "GenAI" to write code for me. So, for the forseeable future, everything on this site will continue to be written by a very silly goose (wait that's me honk honk) with some parts written by other humans as well (silly hu-mon) rather than any plausible-series-of-words token-eating machine. Even my libraries are out of date, and suddenly that's a good thing!
(Although the style has changed several times and content has been added and changed, the base of this site has barely been updated since 2015. But it Ain't Broke!)
This site is also occasionally tested with older browsers, but compatibility is not guarenteed. Although, if you have an old obscure browser and something isn't working that previously did, I guess you can tell me (nelg) about it...
