00:28 <spidey> lol
00:28 <Lucifer_arma> but if I make just one, and implement it, I can release my text editor
00:28 <Lucifer_arma> it's kinda suicidal to release a text editor that has hardcoded 4 space tabs with spaces replacing tabs

01:58 <[NP]Tangent> I just noticed this
01:58 <spidey> ?
01:58 <Commn> LOL
01:58 <spidey> it's the amount of friends you have left during teamplay
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> how are friends determined?
01:59 <spidey> how many are alive?
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> oh
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> well
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> I was just on Swampland
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> non-team server
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> and it said I had a friend alive
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> so what's up with that?
01:59 <spidey> you did
01:59 <spidey> yourself
01:59 <spidey> you count as a friend
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> uh
01:59 <[NP]Tangent> I wasn't alive when I saw this
02:00 <spidey> dunno then :p
02:00 <spidey> it works on teamplay, unless it's a bug in a new version i haven't downloaded yet

03:56 <Your_mom_arma> Is the dedicated as bad as the client crash wise?
03:56 <Compn> whats a wall from the future anyhow?
03:56 <DrJoeTron> well it looks like is extremely hard to set up
03:57 <Your_mom_arma> They have a console that excepts almost linux like syntax
03:57 <DrJoeTron> which is why i cant handle it
03:57 <DrJoeTron> and it wont open up the normal version
03:57 <Your_mom_arma> Its overly complicated for such a simple system
03:58 <DrJoeTron> its tribes 2 :p
03:59 <DrJoeTron> be back in an hour
04:27 <mkzelda> i keep getting a lot of rounds where zones dont appear now
04:31 <Your_mom_arma> It has more to do with your connection to the server then the client.
04:34 <mkzelda> interesting
04:34 <mkzelda> same to be said about starting rounds halfway into them, w/ no 3,2,1 countdown either?
04:35 <mkzelda> i lost a number of sumos today because by the time the round started i was outside the zone and it collapsed b4 i could ever turn back and get into it
04:36 <Your_mom_arma> Im not sure but the same thing happens to me alll the time also the rare nothing but a black screen for 1 round then the game starts like normal
04:39 <mkzelda> ya i get that too
04:40 <mkzelda> i havent gotten the disappearing zone thing for a long time tho, since about a year ago

19:06 <wrtlprnft> oh, great
19:06 <spidey> excluding #ipv6
19:06 <luke-jr_work> lol
19:06 <wrtlprnft> #g 10 / (population of the world) * 100
19:06 <armabot> wrtlprnft: Google's calculator didn't come up with anything.
19:07 * guru3 cares about ipv6
19:07 <wrtlprnft> bah
19:07 <wrtlprnft> #g 10 / 6,546,371,929 * 100
19:07 <armabot> wrtlprnft: (10 / 6,546,371,929) * 100 = 1.52756368 * 10^(-7)
19:07 <spidey> yes, and if you run something on ipv6 port 3/4 of the world can't use it
19:07 <spidey> :p
19:07 <guru3> it's a survival of the fittest thing
19:08 <spidey> ;p
19:08 <spidey> i tried ipv6 once and i timed out like every 5 minutes
19:08 <guru3> ive not had any issues with ipv6
19:09 <spidey> it was mainly a configuration thing :p
19:09 <spidey> but 3/4+ of the world use ipv4, so i'll stick to that for now
19:11 * luke-jr_work uses both in the meantime
19:11 <luke-jr_work> IPv6 is preferred of course
19:11 * spidey notes ubuntu comes with ipv6 preinstalled
19:12 <guru3> if no one adopted new technology like ipv6 spidey
19:12 <guru3> we'd all be using an 8086
19:12 <guru3> with punch cards
19:12 <guru3> or some such bullshit
19:14 <wrtlprnft> well
19:14 <wrtlprnft> the problem is that there's no real need for ipv6
19:16 <spidey> for now
19:17 <spidey> #g 254*254*254*254
19:17 <armabot> spidey: 254 * 254 * 254 * 254 = 4,162,314,256
19:17 <wrtlprnft> it's really less
19:17 <spidey> it's more
19:17 <wrtlprnft> 10.*.*.* isn't transmitted over the intenet
19:17 <wrtlprnft> neither is 192.168.*.*
19:18 <wrtlprnft> and some class-B network i forget
19:18 <spidey> some 172.'s
19:19 <wrtlprnft> 127.*.*.* is reserved too
19:20 <wrtlprnft> 172.16.*.* is the class-B one
19:31 * luke-jr_work notes IPv6 isn't something that is "installed"
19:31 <luke-jr_work> IPv4 is overfull already
19:32 <spidey> ipv6 on windows is "installed"
19:32 <spidey> netsh ipv6 install
19:32 <luke-jr_work> don't forget to subtract other reserved ranged, like multicast
19:32 <luke-jr_work> spidey: it's enabled really
19:32 <luke-jr_work> and even then, your software doesn't support it if I had to guess
19:33 <spidey> VoIP doesn't even support it
19:33 <spidey> 'er
19:33 <spidey> the other way around
19:37 <luke-jr_work> ...
19:37 <luke-jr_work> you obviously have no clue what you're talking abou
19:38 <luke-jr_work> SIP certainly is capable of IPv6
19:38 <luke-jr_work> IAX2 probably as well
19:38 <luke-jr_work> Not sure on Jingle
19:38 <luke-jr_work> and those are all there is for standard VoIP
19:40 <spidey> http://usipv6.com/what_is_ipv6.php
19:43 <spidey> now, i'ma go play warrock, then do my homeschool work so i don't get kicked out of it atleast for another 2 months so i don't have to goto public school -_-
19:48 <luke-jr_work> spidey: you have a point?
19:48 <luke-jr_work> spidey: that states that NAT (IPv4) breaks VoIP, and that IPv6 is a solution for that as well
20:15 <spidey> mkzelda, ?
20:18 <wrtlprnft> luke-jr_work: NAT has its positive sides as well
20:26 <luke-jr_work> wrtlprnft: NAT does not. Firewalls might.

23:41 <Lucifer_arma> my wife's car (not wrecked) is worth around $8k right now on the used market, which is weird because it's 10 years old
23:42 <Lucifer_arma> but it's a little fuel efficient japanese car
23:42 * Lucifer_arma drives a 20 year old car, heh
23:44 <wrtlprnft> fuel efficient cars aren't worth anything in america

» Layout is loosely based on an old design by Durf.

is a site that has tools, maps, and other various items. It orignally only existed as a server control panel, but I slowly began adding stuff such as a homepage and tools.

This is an LLM-free zone. In general, I am unwilling to use (fight with) any form of "GenAI" to write code for me. So, for the forseeable future, everything on this site will continue to be written by a very silly goose (wait that's me honk honk) with some parts written by other humans as well (silly hu-mon) rather than any plausible-series-of-words token-eating machine. Even my libraries are out of date, and suddenly that's a good thing!
(Although the style has changed several times and content has been added and changed, the base of this site has barely been updated since 2015. But it Ain't Broke!)
This site is also occasionally tested with older browsers, but compatibility is not guarenteed. Although, if you have an old obscure browser and something isn't working that previously did, I guess you can tell me (nelg) about it...
