Sometimes you might notice a a turn drop even though you are sure you pressed the key. I think most commonly you did in fact press the key, but perhaps you didn't fully lift your finger from a previous key press and that might have blocked your turn (or pressed the second key too soon before lifting the previous). Somethin to think about.
