Could be that playing the tuts is supposed to unlock that. [18:06:41] <Z-Man> In my book, racing in general is easier than shooting. Aiming is really shitty and it's unintuitive that you have to brake to shoot. But we should probably add a way for server admins to up their recommended play-before-you-enter times. [18:07:24] <Z-Man> The choices are based on classification thresholds. So yeah, it's normal that they bounce around a little. [18:08:09] <Z-Man> Anyway, the whole system is up for a retuning before release, obviously. It needs to be adapted to whatever the server landscape looks like. [20:45:43] <Lucifer_arma> hah, the fact that my server sends me a text message when someone logs in is a pain in the ass when I'm actually working on the server [20:49:32] <ct|kyle> Lucifer_arma: that's better than you not whitelisting your IP and getting tempararlly banned when working on your server :P [20:49:57] <Lucifer_arma> well, that was just dumb, now, wasn't it? :P [20:50:15] <Lucifer_arma> I've been silenced ingame because I kept running too many admin commands [20:50:19] <Lucifer_arma> like, in a row [20:50:59] <Lucifer_arma> this is my web server, though. Trying to figure out how and where I managed to revert the site management software to a working revision, but for some reason don't have it on my hard drive. [20:51:06] <ct|kyle> I was getting banned bcause the page i was testing was failing [20:51:20] <Lucifer_arma> oh, oops [20:52:51] <Lucifer_arma> I created the page for my web comic where I can pimp my book, and now I need to get it live, make the announcement on Facebook, and then boost that post [20:53:00] <ct|kyle> It was at a time where my ip kept changing though [20:53:04] <Lucifer_arma> According to FB, by boosting it, I'll get like 1100 people to see it [20:53:21] <Lucifer_arma> so you'd have to add your IP to the whitelist every time you work on it? [20:53:24] <ct|kyle> how are the sells of it? [20:53:35] <ct|kyle> pretty much so [20:53:50] <Lucifer_arma> 6 so far, but I suspect that Z-man is three of them. That or he's two and Word is one, but they happened on the same day. [20:54:31] <Lucifer_arma> the only "marketing" I've done is a couple posts on FB (my private account and my web comic account), my wife's post on FB, and my post on the arma forums. [20:55:07] <Lucifer_arma> so it's a fair bet that all sales so far are to people I know, but I don't have access to that information. [20:55:15] <ct|kyle> next you'll hand a sight at your fast food place in front of the tolits? [20:55:17] <Lucifer_arma> and nobody's fessing up. [20:55:19] <ct|kyle> hang* [20:55:43] <Lucifer_arma> I could, but since we're drive-thru only, that would only tell employees about a book they already know about [20:56:14] <ct|kyle> didn't realize that [20:56:22] <Lucifer_arma> didn't mention that :) [21:15:10] *** Joins: AmarokNelg (~AmarokNel@unaffiliated/amaroknelg) [21:31:59] *** Quits: sinewav (~Thunderbi@ip68-8-145-41.sd.sd.cox.net) (Quit: couldn't handle it and left) [21:50:49] *** Joins: zmanuel (~Z-Man@p54A1F3D4.dip0.t-ipconnect.de) [21:50:49] *** Quits: Z-Man (~Z-Man@p54A1F4CC.dip0.t-ipconnect.de) (Killed (kornbluth.freenode.net (Nickname regained by services))) [21:50:49] *** zmanuel is now known as Z-Man [22:18:52] <Lucifer_arma> ct|kyle: still around?
