01:38 <StickyNoob> wow i have just been hit with a new tron insult
01:38 <epsy> xorer?
01:38 <StickyNoob> apparently adjusting is now out too
01:38 <StickyNoob> "its not pure"
01:38 <epsy> adjusting as in regrinding?
01:38 <StickyNoob> yes
01:39 <Flex> regrinding for noobs anyway
01:40 <Flex> objective is to use as much less keys as possible
01:40 <StickyNoob> right guys in addition to ganking, speeding, camping, wall grinding, closing, holing and adjusting im adding turning
01:40 <epsy> you forgot sealing
01:41 <Monkey_arma> you forgot double and triple bindint
01:41 <Monkey_arma> *g
01:41 <StickyNoob> from now on turning is crap
01:41 <Monkey_arma> and brake
01:41 <epsy> you also forgot single bind
01:41 <Monkey_arma> its not allowed
01:41 <epsy> camping around zones isn't allowed either
01:42 <StickyNoob> ganking, speeding, camping, wall grinding, closing, holing, adjusting, sealing double binding, breaking, zone camping and turning
01:42 <epsy> laggying, signle binding
01:42 <StickyNoob> thats the defininative list that from now on no one can do
01:42 <Monkey_arma> sticky its called "base camping"
01:43 <Monkey_arma> not zone camping
01:43 <Monkey_arma> "dont base camp noob"
01:43 <epsy> you forgot sniping
01:43 <StickyNoob> whats sniping?
01:43 <epsy> idk
01:44 -!- noob7 is now known as noob7_away
01:44 <epsy> maybe aiming at small holes, but i'm sure it's going to be one too
01:44 <Flex> who cares.. do what you want
01:44 <Flex> wtf?
01:44 <Flex> you're making out as if 90% of the people agree with all that bullshit stuff
01:44 <Flex> no rubber, you can do all you want.. you still can't get out of my box..
01:45 <Monkey_arma> rim fucking..you forgot that
01:45 <StickyNoob> yeah its just annoying when you get a kill/capture and people then say you did it by cheating
01:45 <Flex> fuck them
01:45 <Flex> they're idiots, apart from if they have a valid point
01:46 <Flex> best option is to kill them the most hilarious way so they can't say shit
01:49 <epsy> you can call such a kill a gank
01:51 <Monkey_arma> sticky you also forgot "flag whoring"
01:51 <Monkey_arma> athough i agree with that one

02:04 <StickyNoob> hmm thats not too bad provided def has some sort of cover
02:04 <Monkey_arma> for every round of every match? its not evenn
02:04 <Monkey_arma> its greed
02:04 <StickyNoob> horses for courses
02:05 <StickyNoob> you all have your roles and some people are just more use in attack
02:05 <Monkey_arma> but in normal ctf where people are coming and going, not a match, and others ask if they can get the flag
02:05 <Monkey_arma> but one guy just ignores them
02:06 <StickyNoob> ahhh the guys who hog the attack and dont give you room to attack
02:06 <StickyNoob> i just get in their way
02:07 <Monkey_arma> i tk them
02:08 <StickyNoob> naa that causes them to cry too much, just getting in their way dosent seem to make them complain
02:09 <Monkey_arma> well i dont mind an arguement
02:09 <Monkey_arma> i see ctf as a place to let your anger out
02:10 <Monkey_arma> like sort of therapy

02:22 <Lucifer_pen> no base camping?
02:22 <Lucifer_pen> that means what, exactly?
02:22 <Monkey_arma> its complex
02:22 <Monkey_arma> it means no surrounding the opponents base...
02:22 <Lucifer_pen> how complex can it be?
02:23 <Lucifer_pen> why can't you do that?
02:23 <Monkey_arma> but only in certain circumstances
02:23 <Lucifer_pen> wait, lemme guess, it's fun to let the other team win?
02:23 -!- hoax [n=hoax@unaffiliated/hoax] has joined #armagetron
02:23 <Monkey_arma> you cant do that if you are playing with idiots because they say so
02:23 <Monkey_arma> also you are expected to res the other team
02:23 <Monkey_arma> dont ask me why
02:23 <Lucifer_pen> in general that's good playing
02:23 -!- Amys [n=AMY@195.99.165.1] has left #armagetron []
02:23 <Lucifer_pen> but not when the other team is kicking your ass :)
02:24 * Lucifer_pen respawns the other team all the time
02:24 <Monkey_arma> i would res other team if they have one clown who just wonders about and is the last man
02:24 <Lucifer_pen> letting the other team die ends the round, and you have no more remaining opportunities for points that round
02:25 <Lucifer_pen> so I only avoid respawning the other team when my team is way ahead and I want to end the game quickly, or if my team is ahead a bit and the other team is gaining
02:25 <Lucifer_pen> then I'll block their base so my team can finish off what they have left and advance the round counter
02:25 -!- Netsplit heinlein.freenode.net <-> irc.freenode.net quits: guru3, Stewie-arma
02:26 <Monkey_arma> that is nonsense..only if their 5 players all suck
02:26 <Lucifer_pen> ?
02:26 <Monkey_arma> if you dont res them you can get flag after flag
02:26 <Monkey_arma> and get points galore
02:26 <Lucifer_pen> if you're going to arrogantly call something nonsense, at least have the decency to explain it
02:26 <Monkey_arma> i just did
02:26 -!- Amys [n=AMY@195.99.165.1] has joined #armagetron
02:26 <Monkey_arma> and who is the most arrogant here?
02:26 <Monkey_arma> ...
02:26 <Lucifer_pen> no, because in my experience when they have only one or two players, they usually get killed pretty quickly
02:26 <Lucifer_pen> heh, you are :)
02:26 -!- Amys [n=AMY@195.99.165.1] has left #armagetron []
02:27 <Monkey_arma> im the second most arrogant thx
02:27 <Lucifer_pen> you very often call things you don't like "nonsense", which is extremely arrogant
02:27 <Monkey_arma> nonsense i do no such thing
02:27 <Lucifer_pen> and downright insulting
02:27 <Lucifer_pen> that's why everyone hates luke-jr, he says "nonsense" to what people have said, and then refuses to explain how it's nonsense
02:28 <Monkey_arma> no he calls everyone retards
02:28 <Monkey_arma> i explain my reasons :)
02:28 <Lucifer_pen> anyway, the point is, yes, I agree you can run the flag a few more times when there's only one enemy, but the smart enemy will suicide if that happens and he can't respawn his team
02:28 <Lucifer_pen> unless it's the last round and he's behind, in which case his priority is to respawn his team :)
02:29 <Lucifer_pen> or capture the other team's flag, or whatever
02:29 <Lucifer_pen> so if you want to run the flag N+3 times, you havce to keep the other team alive as long as possible
02:30 <Lucifer_pen> (where 3 is the magical number that I've determined the flag can be run before the last standing enemy can end the round)
02:30 <Monkey_arma> ok i will stand by my opinion that that makes no sense
02:30 <Monkey_arma> hence nonsence
02:30 <Monkey_arma> because..
02:30 <Lucifer_pen> makes no sense to you
02:30 <Lucifer_pen> heh
02:30 <Monkey_arma> the enemy does not suicide
02:30 <Monkey_arma> ever
02:30 <Lucifer_pen> well, that's dumb, then
02:30 -!- Ttech [n=ttech@fullcirclemagazine/developer/ttech] has quit ["Going!"]
02:31 <Lucifer_pen> if you're the last one standing and you're not in control of your flag, suicide is usually the best option
02:31 <Monkey_arma> yes most in ctf are
02:31 <Monkey_arma> or res even better surely?
02:31 <Monkey_arma> think about it
02:31 <Monkey_arma> ..
02:31 <Lucifer_pen> think about the price of the respawn
02:31 <Monkey_arma> there are points for last team standing u know
02:31 <Lucifer_pen> that's also 3 runs of your flag you give up, assuming you can get to your base (i.e. the other team hasn't blocked it)
02:31 -!- Stewie-arma [n=Stewie-a@cpe-76-88-47-247.san.res.rr.com] has joined #armagetron
02:31 -!- guru3 [n=guru3@81-235-164-45-no21.tbcn.telia.com] has joined #armagetron
02:32 <Monkey_arma> you get about 2 or 3 points if other team die
02:32 <Lucifer_pen> it's a small price to pay to reset the round
02:32 <Monkey_arma> so unless they are getting flags and you cant res..
02:32 <Lucifer_pen> there's a maximum of like 8 points you give up when you suicide, and that's a maximum
02:32 <Lucifer_pen> if you're protecting your flag and you control it, you stay there, no suicide, no nothing
02:32 <Lucifer_pen> because you get points for every failed attack on your flag :)
02:33 <Lucifer_pen> it'll more than offset it when the other team gets in
02:33 <Monkey_arma> ?
02:33 <Lucifer_pen> also, the other team would be smart to respawn your team anyway and go for core dumps
02:33 -!- niraj123 [n=nirajpro@220.227.156.151] has joined #armagetron
02:33 <Monkey_arma> im not sure about that
02:33 <Monkey_arma> welcome back niraj123
02:33 <Monkey_arma> how are you giving up 8 points? it depends on the situation
02:34 <Lucifer_pen> the flag can be run 3 times in the time it takes you to walk over and respawn your team and walk back
02:34 <Lucifer_pen> that's a maximum, not a guarantee
02:34 <Monkey_arma> it depends on how players both teams have
02:34 <Monkey_arma> 3 times i dont think so
02:34 <Lucifer_pen> we're talking about the case where you're the last one standing on your team
02:34 <Monkey_arma> ok
02:34 -!- niraj123 [n=nirajpro@220.227.156.151] has quit [Remote closed the connection]
02:34 <Monkey_arma> so what about when there are only 2 others?
02:34 <Lucifer_pen> and I've seen it run 3 times in that time, plenty of times. If you haven't seen it, then you're playing with really sucky players :)
02:35 <Lucifer_pen> 2 enemies is all it takes to run the flag three times in that time span
02:35 <Monkey_arma> i guess it depends who is playing
02:35 <Lucifer_pen> but 3 is a maximum there, in practice it's usually one or two
02:35 <Monkey_arma> if i am last man, they dont get a flag in
02:35 <Lucifer_pen> anyway, it's 6 points
02:35 <Monkey_arma> 6?
02:35 <Lucifer_pen> then there's 2 points for the suicide, maybe another point for a core dump credit to the other time
02:36 <Lucifer_pen> yes, 3 flags * 2 points per flag = 6 points
02:36 <Lucifer_pen> don't tell me math is nonsense
02:36 <Monkey_arma> i see you play a lot
02:36 <Monkey_arma> its 4 points per flag
02:36 <Lucifer_pen> heh, haven't played since my cpu fan gave out
02:36 <Lucifer_pen> really? how much is a core dump?
02:36 <Monkey_arma> and i think 0 for suicide
02:36 <Lucifer_pen> still just 1 point?
02:37 <Monkey_arma> i think its 2
02:37 <Monkey_arma> better check that some time
02:37 <Monkey_arma> :\
02:37 <Lucifer_pen> so point awards have just doubled? and you can't multiply my estimates by 2 and say "oh yeah, I see that"
02:37 <Monkey_arma> but i am disagreeing
02:37 <Monkey_arma> with the flag upon flag upon flag
02:37 <Lucifer_pen> you've never done that before?!@?!?
02:38 <Monkey_arma> yes
02:38 <Lucifer_pen> and you say I don't play much....
02:38 <Monkey_arma> you are agreeing with me...
02:38 <Monkey_arma> i was saying dont res the other team
02:38 <Monkey_arma> ...
02:38 <Lucifer_pen> ? how am I agreeing with you?
02:38 <Lucifer_pen> right, and I'm saying you do so they don't kill themselves and stop you from running the flag
02:38 <Monkey_arma> ah ok
02:38 <Lucifer_pen> you're basically settling with 3 runs, and I'm saying you can have many more runs if you keep the other team alive
02:39 <Monkey_arma> so you are saying better to suicide than res
02:39 -!- niraj1234 [n=nirajp12@220.227.156.151] has joined #armagetron
02:39 <Monkey_arma> well ok...here goes
02:39 <Lucifer_pen> better to suicide than res your own team when the other team takes your flag and you're all that's left
02:39 <Monkey_arma> if last man is crap then he wont suicide...
02:39 <Monkey_arma> if he is skilled he will get back to res fast
02:39 <Lucifer_pen> unless you're losing and it's the last round
02:39 <luke-jr> Lucifer_pen: stfu worm
02:39 <Monkey_arma> heh
02:39 * Monkey_arma agrees
02:40 <Monkey_arma> in most cases it is better to res
02:40 <Monkey_arma> in some it may be better to suicide
02:40 <Monkey_arma> but not often
02:40 <luke-jr> Monkey_arma: if I provoke Lucifer enough, think he'll give way?
02:40 <Monkey_arma> imao
02:40 <Monkey_arma> no i think he will argue back
02:40 <luke-jr> he's already doing htat
02:40 <Monkey_arma> no i think he will argue back even more
02:41 <luke-jr> is that possible?
02:41 <luke-jr> he'll probably eat me tonight anyway
02:41 <Monkey_arma> yes...you should see me arguing in ctf

02:43 <Monkey_arma> it worked
02:43 <Monkey_arma> :)
02:44 <luke-jr> lol
02:45 <Lucifer_pen> heh, there's no real difference between arguing with Monkey_arma and arguing with Luke-Jr. Both are nonsensical endeavors that I pursue for fun and games only. :)

02:47 <Monkey_arma> well anyway i think we can say that you were 15% right and 85% wrong on your ctf point
02:47 <Monkey_arma> i am giving you 15% for the times that suicide would be the best option
02:50 <Lucifer_pen> nah, as usual, you're 100% wrong
02:50 <luke-jr> Monkey_arma: are you suicidal?
02:50 <Monkey_arma> ok if it makes you happy you can have 20%..final offer

02:52 <Monkey_arma> ok 80-85%
02:52 <Monkey_arma> some day when you get your 3D card we will go to ctf and test out our theories
02:53 <Lucifer_pen> I have 3d working again, my problem is not having a cpu fan
02:54 <Lucifer_pen> and I've tested my theories plenty and they work fine :)
02:54 <Lucifer_pen> been on many winning teams that used these *obvious* tactics :)
02:54 <Monkey_arma> well i will try being the last man on purpose
02:54 <Monkey_arma> see what happens if i try to res
02:54 <Monkey_arma> and....get a cpu fan
02:58 <Monkey_arma> also, it's kind of an invalid point because no decent team would ever leave only one man standing...

07:54 <luke-jr> Durka: wtf?
07:54 <wrtlprnft> opera can do that :-)
07:54 <luke-jr> wrtlprnft: ugly
07:54 <wrtlprnft> nah
07:54 <wrtlprnft> it's really useful for legit purposes
07:54 <luke-jr> uh
07:54 <luke-jr> like what?
07:54 <luke-jr> ok, bad question
07:54 <luke-jr> this game is probably a legit purpose for it
07:54 <luke-jr> XD
07:55 <Durka> luci quit?
07:55 <luke-jr> O.o
07:56 <Durka> read the newest post in the thread
07:56 <luke-jr> Durka: guess my pic intimidated him :þ
07:56 <Lucifer> yeah, I apparently forgot GodTodd's rule of internet game playing: if Luke-Jr is in the game, don't play it.
07:56 <Durka> :)
07:58 <Lucifer> anyway, if anybody wants to know why I just up and quit, it's because I was sick of luke /msg'ing me here and harassing me
07:58 <Durka> :O

08:00 <luke-jr> wrtlprnft: rofl
08:01 <Lucifer> these kids ran into a brick wall not far from where I live a couple of weeks ago
08:01 <Lucifer> 3 of them died, the driver ran away
08:01 <Lucifer> he was only 15, unlicenced, etc.
08:01 <Durka> anyways
08:01 <Lucifer> wrtlprnft: heh, I didn't think of making a "you are the GM" role PM :)
08:01 <wrtlprnft> :D
08:02 <Durka> I think you guys (mainly Luke and Luci but more-so Luke) take this game way too seriously
08:02 <Durka> btw Lucifer, we all know that the 2nd PM you made is the false one lol
08:02 <Lucifer> they were all false
08:03 <Lucifer> note that I didn't give away any information with that, since the even-day worms already knew that one was fake :)

• Website was created by nelg
• Design:
» Layout is loosely based on an old design by Durf.
» Icons on the tools page were originally by Royce, new icons added will try to follow some of the design language.
» Various other icon selections include icons from Crystal, crystalsvg, oxygen, and breeze icon themes.
» Other icons: fontawesome

is a site that has tools, maps, and other various items. It orignally only existed as a server control panel, but I slowly began adding stuff such as a homepage and tools.
----
This is an LLM-free zone. In general, I am unwilling to use (fight with) any form of "GenAI" to write code for me. So, for the forseeable future, everything on this site will continue to be written by a very silly goose (wait that's me honk honk) with some parts written by other humans as well (silly hu-mon) rather than any plausible-series-of-words token-eating machine. Even my libraries are out of date, and suddenly that's a good thing!
(Although the style has changed several times and content has been added and changed, the base of this site has barely been updated since 2015. But it Ain't Broke!)
This site is also occasionally tested with older browsers, but compatibility is not guarenteed. Although, if you have an old obscure browser and something isn't working that previously did, I guess you can tell me (nelg) about it...
