RACERZ. The mode that no one understands. It's half race, half escape game. The objective is to reach the winzone at the end by creating, collapsing or moving zones through the use of switches. In addition, there is a variety of items you can and should collect. Once you get the knack of it, it's a huge fun... the way Tron should be played, imho. I'm probably not making anymore of these, not because I have no ideas anymore, but the creation takes a long time and I rarely receive positive feedback. Include the respective zones_*.cfg for each map at ROUND_COMMENCING. NOTE: these maps are not prepared for DEDICATED_FPS 100. You will either have to adapt the rubber values for yourself (in both the XML and the zones cfgs - lots of work) or change DEDICATED_FPS (to 40, iirc). The items/zones --------------- red: death yellow: rubber green: win orange: turbo boost (max. speed doubled) light blue: shield repair (rubber increase) dark blue: full shields (max. rubber) light pink: energy charger (brake increase - release brake key) dark pink: full energy (max. brake - release brake key) violet: resurrection (respawn) turquoise: teleporter black: ammunition (shooting enabled) white: switch (does stuff... somewhere) Item effects last 10 seconds. No round time limit. Points mean nothing and are given only for technical reasons. Having no energy (brake) doesn't mean you can't go further, but that you can't speed up. In that case: good luck with rubber zones (or other, fast moving ones). Prototype --------- Setting: Alien mothership Difficulty: hard You'll have to visit some areas multiple times here. Look around, something may be different next time. Hallway ------- Setting: Idk... maybe an ancient temple site? Difficulty: easy You should do well if you don't forget any switch. LambdaCore ---------- Setting: Nuclear power plant Difficulty: medium Take your time, there are lots of nice details around. Yes, one can safely drive through the central "deathzone"... if you activate the carriers first.
